Alex King-Byatt joined CityCo as the Piccadilly Partnership Manager in July 2010.
Since 2010, CityCo has developed its business membership model, delivering support across a range of urban issues such as urban exploring, begging, rough sleeping, graffiti, street cleaning and public sector liaison.
Now in its third iteration, and managed by CityCo, The Manchester BID supports retail, office and leisure occupiers in the heart of the city centre.
In April 2023, CityCo and partners at Marketing Manchester, launched The Manchester Accommodation BID. A pioneering alliance of hoteliers and serviced apartments which invests a portion of the new city visitor charge into The City Welcome.
CityCo also partners with Manchester City Council and the Greater Manchester Emergency Services and support a number of business recovery and resilience themes, including the developing Protect UK legislation.
Prior to joining CityCo, Alex was Director of Operations at Urbis, General Manager of Love Saves the Day, Manager of Night and Day Café, giving a broad range of experience across the retail, leisure, arts and licensed economies in Manchester.
