Angus is an Infrastructure Coordinator in the Sustrans Places For Everyone Team – helping fund, design and deliver active travel and place making projects across the Edinburgh & South-East Scotland region.
Prior to joining Sustrans, Angus worked in private practice for more than 15 years as architect & urban designer, working on a wide range of projects from one-off houses for private clients right though to large scale urban master-planning.
Since joining Sustrans Angus has been the Sustrans-side lead on a number of strategic active travel and place-making initiatives (delivered in partnership with CEC), including the City Centre Transformation, Pedestrian Priority Zone and most recently CEC’s emergency pandemic response Spaces For People temporary infrastructure programme.
Angus has a particular interest in integrating Scottish Government/local authority active travel policy/strategy with on-the-ground active travel delivery programmes and using data-driven network planning to develop of robust, evidence-led Active Travel Strategies.
