Colin Timmins is Director of Member Services at BEAMA and looks after the Heating Controls and Ventilation groups, as well as the residential sector group of eu.bac (European building automation and controls). A Chartered Engineer with a background in building services engineering, he has 25 years’ experience in sustainable energy projects in the public and private sector and worked for the Energy Saving Trust for eight years establishing their energy advice service and consumer behaviour change strategies.

BEAMA is the UK trade association for manufacturers and providers of energy infrastructure technologies and systems. They represent more than 200 companies, from start-ups and SMEs to large multinationals. BEAMA members’ products ensure low carbon energy and environmental services are delivered safely, securely and efficiently to UK homes, businesses, transport and grid networks. The My Health My Home campaign, supported by BEAMA, aims to raise awareness of the impacts of poor IAQ on health, promote effective ventilation as a means of managing IAQ, and ensure that good IAQ is a serious policy consideration in public health and building policy.
