Glasgow’s Convener for Climate, the Glasgow Green Deal, Transport and City Centre Recovery

First elected in May 2016, Angus represents Glasgow City Centre and the nearby Anderston, Finnieston and Yorkhill areas as one of four councillors for the Anderston/City/Yorkhill ward.

Angus is currently Glasgow’s Convener for Climate, Glasgow Green Deal, Transport and City Centre Recovery. In this role, he leads on the city’s journey to Net Zero, promoting sustainability and a just transition to a greener economy, and developing the city’s transport strategies. Angus also leads on Glasgow’s city centre recovery efforts, supporting regeneration and championing a vibrant, mixed-use city centre economy.

Angus has also been Chair of the Digital Glasgow Board since 2018, supporting the development and implementation of the city’s Digital Glasgow Strategy.
