Daniel has a background in physics. His PhD in the field of biophysics involved studying interactions between DNA and protein molecules using physical microscopy techniques.
He now works as lead developer for the Leeds-based software and data consultancy company imactivate. His work involves writing software and working with data to tell stories in a digital world. He is particularly interested in data on transport and housing.
He also works on collaborative projects at the Open Data Institute Leeds that seek to use open data to solve problems and drive social, economic, and environmental change.
