Daniel Marsh is the programme manager for the Centre for Low Emission Construction (CLEC), part of the Environmental Research Group based in the School of Public Health, Imperial College London.

CLEC aims to raise awareness of the impact of dust and emissions on local air quality and health across the construction industry. CLEC conducts ‘real world’ emissions and worker exposure measurement across active construction sites as well as promoting the uptake of ‘best in class’ mitigation and emerging technologies to help the sector transition towards a NetZero future.

Daniel works closely with the policy teams in Defra and the GLA, supporting their non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) low emission zone (LEZ), and as a member of their expert NRMM advisory committee.

Daniel is a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and sits on working groups producing guidance for the construction and demolition industry, local authority planning and air quality officers and environmental professionals.
