I am a solutions oriented practitioner, currently Directing the Global Plastics Policy Centre. I also coordinate research for the Centre for Blue Governance and work for the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank on matters of the Blue Economy. I have a PhD in Advancing Marine Policy in the Blue Economy.
My background is in marine biology and conservation, and I specialise in marine resource management, the blue economy and ocean governance particularly on equality in fisheries, plastics policy, and financing solutions. I am experienced in managing diverse and dynamic teams of researchers and contractors. I have a strong track record of national and regional Blue Economy policy and strategy development for governments and intergovernmental organisations.
I have experience in engaging in conversations about sustainability and marine management matters across various media platforms, such as interviews and pre-recorded segments for radio, podcasts, news sites, and newspapers. I am therefore happy to take calls and emails from the media on my work.
