I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and practice of air quality and its connections with health and climate. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London, collaborating with the World Economic Forum as part of the Hoffman Fellowship in Air Quality. This prestigious program allows me to work with leading experts and stakeholders in the field of air quality and urban sustainability, and to contribute to the Global Future Council on the Future of Clean Air. I am motivated by the vision of creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for everyone, and I bring an interdisciplinary perspective to the team drawing from my background in geography, sensors and air quality monitoring.
In my current role, I conduct research on air quality, interventions, co-benefits, and healthy cities. Previously I have developed and applied a low-cost internet-of-things sensor network for monitoring particulate matter, which was the topic of my PhD thesis at the University of Birmingham. I have also collaborated with various partners and stakeholders, such as local authorities, community groups, and industry, to communicate and translate the findings and recommendations of my research. I have presented my work at several international conferences and workshops, and received an award for an outstanding student and PhD candidate presentation at the EGU General Assembly 2023.
I am open to collaboration, within academia and policy and private sector spaces and strive to create inclusive research that supports real world impact.
