John is an experienced director and commercial strategist with 25 years’ running businesses within regulated and non-regulated industries, both in the U.K. and abroad.
John holds a BSc in Environmental Studies, an M.A in Business and the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma.
John has worked with businesses in different sectors such as water, sensors, air pollution, waste treatment, civil contracting, publishing, charities, and retail. He sits on the panel that makes recommendations to Ofwat on the codes that support the non-household water retail market and the market performance and trading disputes committees.
With a paper published on controlling lead in domestic water supplies. John was responsible for creating and setting up a £150m, joint venture water retailing business that remains the top-rated retail company for customer service.
At Vortex, John oversees the Commercial function, encompassing Delivery (Customer Success), Channel Partnerships and Account Management.
