Richard Budden leads Esri’s business in the European region – supporting customers, distributors and partners across Europe – and is based in Esri’s regional office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
During his career Richard has led and managed large and successful teams on complex multidisciplinary projects, and worked with customers and partners across the Middle East, UK and Europe including Smart Dubai, the Qatar Ministry of Municipality and Environment, UAE Ministry of Public Works, Crossrail and the London Borough of Islington. He’s helped customers to define smart city and digital transformation strategies that leverage GIS and spatial analytics, and enabled organisations to understand the value of location technology to their business.
With 28 distributors covering 59 separate countries and territories, Esri supports more than 70,000 customers across Europe who are leveraging the power of GIS and location intelligence to add value to their businesses every day. Esri also works with more than 500 partners across the region who offer industry expertise and business solutions built on ArcGIS. Much of the ArcGIS platform is developed and built in Esri’s seven R&D centres across Europe.
