Sustrans

Rosslyn leads the fantastic Sustrans England North team to deliver amazing projects and inspire people about the unique difference our organisation makes in the world. The team looks after hundreds of miles of cycleways, bridleways and footpaths, delivers life changing cycling and walking projects and advocates for the choice to travel by foot, bike or public transport for everyday journeys.

Rosslyn has a background in active travel and environmental conservation, with over twenty-five years’ experience of leading, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve outstanding results. She is passionate about connecting people to landscapes, to each other and to their communities.

Her focus is on the outdoors – active travel, environmental conservation and built heritage. She especially loves audacious projects like the 12,000-mile National Cycle Network, used by millions of people for walking and cycling every year. Other career highlights include the restoration of the iconic Anderton Boat Lift and the development of the floating visitor centre at Brockholes Nature Reserve.
