The Royal Town Planning Institute is the UK's leading planning body for spatial, sustainable and inclusive planning and is the largest planning institute in Europe with over 25,000 members. The Institute is embarking on a number of projects to explore how city-regions can plan more effectively by using data and technology.

Tiptapp is a peer to peer marketplace where households can get help moving items, be it taking recycling to the HWRC, getting a sofa purchased on eBay delivered or help with grocery shopping whilst in self-isolation. By connecting those who don't have a car with those who do, Tiptapp reduces congestion and pollution. Tiptapp also helps increase reuse in society by making it easier for people to give away items they no longer need.
