Bruce McVean leads the development of transport policy for the City of London, with the aim of ensuring that London’s financial district and historic heart remains a great place to live, work, learn and visit. The City of London Corporation is the governing body of the Square Mile dedicated to a vibrant and thriving City, supporting a diverse and sustainable London within a globally-successful UK.
We’re pleased to announce that on October 31st Bruce will deliver a keynote presentation on “Strategic approaches to smart mobility”, entitled “Walking towards a smarter City”, at our TRANSPORT Smart Class, London & South East England edition. “There’s a lot of talk”, Bruce observes, “about smart mobility and how it might change how people travel and how city streets look and feel. This talk will consider how the smartest approach is to focus on the needs of people walking, and how emerging technologies can help deliver Healthy Streets”.
Bruce’s previous roles include Principal Strategy Planner at Transport for London, Senior Policy Advisor at the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) and Trustee of Living Streets.
