Public transit can be a challenge where demand is scarce. Dynamic Demand Responsive Transport streamlines mass-transit systems by matching service levels more closely to that demand. Lowering operational costs, easing access to transportation, reducing environmental impacts: when territories need to address some of these challenges, an intelligent DRT solution can provide the answer. Jack Holland’s presentation at TRANSPORT Smart Class, North of England 2021 demonstrated how Padam Mobility has drastically improved the situation in territories at various stages of deployment. Referencing use cases such as Strasbourg City, Greater Paris and Lincolnshire County Council, Jack explained how DRT can be integrated into a Peri-urban or Rural Transport Policy and also outlined improvements to existing DRT services and integrating DRT into a MaaS offering. During the roundtable sessions he delved deeper, addressing our delegates’ specific challenges and requirements.
