We’re pleased to announce that Dr George Hazel OBE will be keynoting on “The Impact of MaaS and CAV on the future of mobility” at TRANSPORT Smart Class, Scotland 2018 (Radisson Blu Glasgow, September 27th). “Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) will have major impacts on the way we live, the structure of our cities, the way we move and pay for mobility and for people working in the mobility market”. Speaking on behalf of MaaS Scotland, for whom he is currently a Board Member and Advisor, Dr Hazel will explain these impacts, talk about the characteristics of MaaS and CAV and explain where MaaS and CAV are coming from and why they cannot be ignored. MaaS Scotland is a network of over 70 companies and public agencies hosted by Technology Scotland with ScotlandIS.
Dr Hazel completes our keynote line-up for this edition and joins SEStran’s Head of Programmes, Jim Grieve (whose keynote, “The E-bike Revolution”, will examine “How we can approach innovation that works for people, communities and business”), and Transport Scotland’s Smart Ticketing team lead, Mary Docherty (whose keynote will focus on the Transport journey towards implementing the Ministerial vision: “That all journeys on Scotland’s bus, rail, ferry, subway and tram networks can be made using some form of smart ticketing or payment”). Delegates can also expect to benefit from up to five quick hitting innovator presentations, delivered by leading digital technology experts, plus deeper-dive roundtable sessions to help hone smart transport and mobility strategies. Those with relevant credentials can apply for a free place by completing the registration form at the bottom of the event page.
