A recent study from the University of Manchester has found that children’s learning ability could be boosted by over 6% when air pollution surrounding schools is reduced by 20%. Stuart Scott’s presentation at TRANSPORT Smart Class, North of England 2021 on behalf of Videalert and Project Centre demonstrated that, with arguably the largest legislation change pending since Councils were given Parking Enforcement powers, understanding the use of applying proven technologies in the correct scenarios can accelerate improvements to the quality of life in our cities and towns. Besides the benefits to air quality, innovative enforcement can achieve a real reduction in fatalities and serious injuries on our Road Network.
