The role of energy monitoring and resource optimisation in smart cities

Resource optimisation in smart cities

Smart transportation systems, on the other hand, monitor traffic flow, parking occupancy, and public transportation usage, allowing city planners to optimise traffic patterns and public transport schedules, reduce congestion, and lower the city’s carbon footprint.

In the era of sustainable smart cities, integrating renewable energy resources into the city’s power grid plays a pivotal role. Platforms that provide real-time data on the generation of solar and wind energy are crucial in establishing a balance between conventional and renewable energy resources. This reduces the city’s reliance on fossil fuels, making renewable energy a practical and reliable choice.
