We’re delighted to confirm that next year’s Smart Waste edition, WASTE MANAGEMENT Smart Class 2020, will take place in London on the afternoon of Wednesday April 15th (1.30pm-6.30pm). Our venue will once again be Browns Courtrooms, Covent Garden. This collaborative, half day, knowledge exchange event will show key buyer side stakeholders how deploying the latest digital technology-enabled solutions, data-driven strategies and best practices can help increase the efficiency of waste collection, separation and disposal, and facilitate the transition of the UK waste market to a circular economy. Qualifying delegates include commissioning, procurement, trialling and partnering leads, senior influencers and strategic decision makers from UK waste collection authorities (WCAs), waste disposal authorities (WDAs), private waste contractors, local authorities (city, borough, metropolitan, district and county councils)/combined authorities and their waste management & recycling partners, retailers, health services, building and estate services, transport operations (and other major industry generators of waste), utilities and renewable energy providers, reuse and waste prevention organisations, central government departments and environmental agencies.

Core themes at Waste Management Smart Classes range from collection vehicles logistics optimization, automated waste collection systems, smart bins, analysing waste-related databases and new ways of aggregating, cleaning, visualising and sharing waste data, to connected asset management/using IoT to maintain assets before they breakdown, reuse and redistribution applications, innovative approaches to waste crime, waste tracking, smart waste compliance, ‘designing out waste’ in construction, waste-to-energy, applying blockchain technology to waste management, and new business models (e.g. digital sharing platforms, product as a service, sustainability as a service). Delegates hear from industry movers, shapers and disruptors during initial rapid-fire thought leadership presentations, before moving on to in-depth consultations with experts and peers during the roundtable discussions. These Smart Classes also feature up to 3 keynote presentations from major buyer side stakeholders, giving real world insight into collaborative initiatives, digital journeys and adoptions of emerging, transformative technologies in managing waste.

Those with relevant credentials can register here for a free delegate place at WASTE MANAGEMENT Smart Class 2020.

If you’re a Smart Waste innovator, or if your company sources or advises on digital technology-enabled solutions, data-driven strategies or best practices that can play a key role in helping buyer side stakeholders to address their waste management challenges, please ask about our innovation sponsorship packages, which enable your speaker to deliver a unique thought leadership presentation and your team of experts to host a series of deeper-dive roundtable consultations with the delegates: enquiries@smartclasses.co

Potential keynote candidates (e.g. senior speaker from a progressive waste management, recycling and recovery company; local authority; key regulator; or major producer of waste) can also enquire via this e-mail address.
