Andrew is Chief Executive at Transport East, the Sub-national Transport Body for Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Southend and Thurrock, with a vision for “a thriving Eastern region with safe, efficient and net zero transport networks advancing a future of inclusive and sustainable growth for decades to come”. As a partnership, Transport East brings together local transport and planning authorities, and business leaders, alongside national delivery agencies, speaking with one voice on the issues of transport and infrastructure investment, working closely with Central Government.
Andrew joined Transport East in spring 2020, having previously led Transport for London’s Active Travel strategy team. Andrew leads the organisation to deliver core functions for the region, including leading the region’s Transport Strategy and Strategic Investment Programme, advising the Secretary of State on priorities and providing capacity and capability for regional partners to deliver integrated transport which supports economic growth, decarbonisation and social inclusion.
