Alina Sechrest is a Principal Sponsor delivering highway projects that support the Mayor’s Transport Strategy. Since 2012, she has held a series of roles focused on shaping and implementing transport initiatives that improve accessibility, safety, and sustainability across the Transport for London network.
More recently Alina has transitioned into a new role. She currently Sponsors the Local Implementation Plans (LIPs), providing funding and guidance to boroughs to deliver value schemes that align with MTS objectives, ensuring that local authorities have the resources and support needed to implement projects that reduce private car trips, promote trips by public transport, promote active travel, and create greener, more accessible streets.
